4.5 cm Echioceras ammonite, Charmouth, Jurassic Coast, UK
This ammonite measures 4.5 cm across it’s widest part. The nodule comes from near the Watch Ammonite stone showing much better preservation than usual Echioceras limestone.
Free standing on a natural base with no restoration or repairs. There is some natural wear to the keel.
Lower Pliensbachian, Stonebarrow Marl Member, Charmouth Mudstone Formation, Echioceras beds.
